    Widen frame or narrow swingarm

Not sure if this is the right place to post but, I got a spare frame and front end 82 gs11e and a 86 gsxr11 rear. Curious on whats the safest way to make it fit. Grind bosses on frame or grind down swinger. Needs 11 or so mm to be removed total. Thanks

    I managed to fit a GSXR 1100 K ( 89) swingarm to a GS 1000.
The frame was kept intact by grinding both sides of the swingarm.
You will have to push the two bearings inwards a little and shorten the spacer between them.
To be done by a qualified workshop only to ensure the proper fit.
You can keep the same axle by using the corresponding inner part of the GS 1100 bearings.
