    Grips

I'm building a cafe style bike out of my 82 gs450e and would like to get rid of the mirror stalks for a cleaner look. Suggestions?

For the purists, I am keeping all the old parts so I can return it to its natural state should I decide to do so later.

Find dirt bike parts. They don't have mirror mounts built in.

And Mikes XS www.mikesxs.com has a number of levers etc. that don't have mirror mounts.

They sell colorful block-off plates on ebay, then just install your bar end mirrors

            What are 'block off plates'?

I used a pair of 25-cent black plastic hole plugs from a hardware store. They are designed for furniture, but cover the holes nicely, and are removeable. I second the advice about Mike's XS, though.
