    1k piston pin size?

are the pins the same diameter on the 1k and 850 pistons?
I ask because I cant seem to find any good used 850 pistons that are affordable, so I am looking at 1k pistons and having my 850 block bored to fit..... for half the total cost of a new set of pistons.

The pins are the same and they'll swap right over.

That is wrong. The GS1000 uses 18mm pins and the GS750/850 uses 16mm pins.

You are right - total brain fade, I was answering the question that wasn't being asked. Sorry!
