    gs850 carb questions

my mothers trike has been running really awfully recently, found the pod filters and carb - head rubbers were shot so we've replaced the rubbers and filters, problem is the carbs no longer fit, they appear to be too wide, the carbs aren't 850's, they're off an XJ900 and dont know why they no longer fit seeing as the new rubbers are identical, my main question is are there any other carbs that will fit the 850 CV head??
    cheers

how far off are the carbs from fitting the new rubbers? they may have been warmed up to make them softer so the carbs would squeeze in

are you SURE it was original rubbers on there to start with?

Google the numbers if any off the old boots.

well, if the carbs fitted before then there is no reason why they shouldn't fit now.
