    Oil radiator on a 81 GS1000G ?

    Has anyone succesfuly installed an oil radiator on a 81 GS1000G?

    Which year/model radiator kit will fit?

    Not on a "G", but on "E" and "S" models. Mine used a Lockhart adapter at the oil pressure sender gallery. For coolers, one Lockhart and one Suzuki GSXR from the mid '90s. There was a fellow member who sold his adapter units on here once upon a time, but he may no longer be here. Some have made their own as well. If you search for it you may find a thread or two on the subject. Ray

      The answer is, you have to hook up a cooler via the oil-pressure switch cover (which lies on top of the crankcase behind the cylinder block). You can't use the plugged holes either side of the oil filter cover for the simple reason that there aren't any on the older 2-valve engines.

      So what you need is an adapter plate like this: Found this looking around and thought it might help. I have seen a couple guys on here selling various adapters that will work for cheap also.
