when in doubt call dynajet rather than looking for info on a forum.
they can tell you exactly what is up.
FYI
you must have a 100% stock pilot circuit when using there kit.
this at least pertains to the larger GS bikes.
make the call...there in the business to help you after the sale.Comment

Yes, I followed the instructions completely. the restrictors are glued in, the 155 mains since i have filters and stock pipes, and drilled the slide holes. The last thing i tried was the c-clamp on the 2nd furthest from the needle end so tomorrow i'll try the very bottom although it's running real rich idk if this will be all.
Just a thought - I have the air screws (not the pilot screws) 1 turn out. maybe the culprit?Comment

do you have stock pilots?
the reason i ask is people will go bigger on the pilots when removing the air box just trying different things even though it is the wrong area of the carbs that needs attention.
i am guilty of having the wrong style pilots(correct size) in a GSXR 25 years ago and it was bad rich(ruined factory pilots by drilling them out to large)
called dynajet and they asked me a few questions...i had installed pilots with bleed holes and the factory took solids.
dynajet caught this and i was running perfect after the change back to solids.Comment

Blowerbike - Yeah, I have stock pilots in.
Mekanix - I don't think they're over oiled, I have the spray K&N oil and just misted them. But like I said, I had the bike running fine except for that flat spot around 5k rpm so I don't think it's the filters.Comment

do all testing with the filters removed.
they shouldn't have affect on performance anyways if there K&N's with little to no oil.Comment

seems to be all the time....although i got it a little better so at least it needs the choke to start. ( didn't need it earlier haha). It might be a little better in the higher gears ( i assume due to the main jet size being correct) I have the needle on the bottom though so it's as lean as it can get.Comment

Top notch is leanComment

Update: put the needle at 2nd notch down (1 above what dynojet suggested), turned the pilots out 1 turn, synched the carbs and everything seems good.
Can't tell you guys how helpful you've been, if you're ever near NH, I'd love to go for a ride.
thanks so muchComment
It wasn't running rich before I put the dynojet kit on, and I followed their instructions so I thought it would be fine but nope. I tried lowering the c-clip on the jet needle to lean it out, which helped but it's still way too rich. Then I tried adjusting the pilot screws and still am having trouble with it being too rich. I'll come back to it tomorrow, but thought I'd see if you guys had any advice. Only thing I can think of is go back to the original needles.
