    Lockhart question

    Can someone tell me the purpose of the lockhart part in the picture (the one with the 4 ports on it) Extra filter??

      I don't think I've ever seen anyone else use one. I was reading a bit about them, not sure if it's required or not? of course I have no clue how to test the thing to make sure it's working or not.

        I'd use it. Get some 750 pump gears too, unless your bike is a 750 that is. More flow to mitigate losses from the extra plumbing.

              Fantastic info, thanks. This came with the Yoshi special so I guess I'll put it in the pile of parts for when 'that' rebuild starts. I put an oil cooler on the 78' 1000 this summer but do not have a thermostat on it. I doubt it's going to damage not having one...I hope.
