    gs1150e clutch basket in as 83 gs1100e?

Guys, will a gs1150e clutch basket drop into an 83 gs1100e engine? Are they the same clutch assembly?

    Thanks

Not sure about the basket, but the gear is different if you are talking about the assembly.

That's good to know!...So even if the basket is the same, I'd have to grind the rivets and swap the gears then reassemble with new rivets. Are the rivets even available? If so, is it something that can be done in the garage?

Order a heavy duty hub kit from APE, it will come with the rivets. Ypu WILL need a press to put it together though. I build them so let me know if I can help. Ray.
