GS 2 valve top end oiler kit

it is a GS1000 motor. the top end oil feed is coming from the oil pressure plate, same as normal GS motors. the welded "mod" on top the crankcase is to accomodate the bigger GS750 clutch, apparantly

The welding on the top of the case looks to me to be too far inboard to be for primary gear clearance. Could it be a repair ?

its a modified GS750 clutch thats all i know. the welding is for the primary gear, dont forget it has the clutch cover spaced out in order to use the lock up clutch, that is what makes the welding look further in than it actually is.

The 750 primary gear won't fit the GS1100E cases without a little grinding on the inside for clearance.
