    Curious Oil Filter Cover

I recently purchased a lot of 5 oil filter covers 3 were standard 1100 covers 1 was an 1150 and 1 had fittings attached and 3 holes at the top that had plugs in them and looked like an 1150 cover on the inside but where it was blocked off where it meets the oil passage in the block like an 1150 cover the small bypass notch was slightly wider, deeper, and in a slightly different location (more centered) allowing a little more cooler bypass can any one tell me where this odd cover with the fittings actually came off of, it looks factory as far as being not welded up or any thing else besides the fittings tapped and fittings installed. Thanks I tried uploading a pic of the insides of the covers but they came out so small it was had to really see in the pics.

All 1150's use the same part number cover, so my guess is the cover with the reinforcement at the top and the larger bypass notch is aftermarket?

You are correct, it is aftermarket for oil coolers. You can use it as is for GS1100 16 valve motors. For GS750 16 valve motors you remove one of the pipe plugs and screw the oil pressure sending unit in to the hole.

Thanks to all, sounds good to me,I just bought them for the original 1150 cover that was with them, so I guess it was a bonus to get this one included. I paid 40$ plus shipping for the lot of 5 covers. I have seen some 1150 covers go for twice that alone on ebay. Thanks again
