    Tyre uprgade...

I need to replace the shortlived Bridgestone Spitfire 11R tyre on the back of my GS 1000. It is a 130/90/17 and I wanted to make for a longer life and perhaps a little wider tyre.

Any advice on how fat I can go, without any chasis mods, and a nice cheap tyre that will last me more than a couple of thousand miles and provide grip too...

    Thanks CJ

    Bridgestone BT45

No matter what you ride, Bridgestone motorcycle tires has what you covered. Having the proper tires is the foundation of safety and an awesome ride!

Sticky, decently long life and reasonable price. Can't beat that...

You could go to a 140, With the stock wheel I would stick with the stock size. If you do a wheel upgrade you can go bigger

I think you'll have to bend the pipe that holds the brake in place if you want a 140, my 130 ME77 looks to be as wide as I can go.

You can sneak a 140/ 80 in there, but its real close.
