    Instrument cluster lamps LED replacement

    Heya Folks,

I'm currently looking into this and wanted to know if anyone in here has already replaced the incandescent bulbs with LEDs, and with what kind.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few to choose from. Not sure how many lumen are too bright, or too dim - I'd like not to be blinded by the high beam indicator during night time driving. Furthermore, the speedo/tach illumination requires the bulbs to be a point light source, so the LED bulb has to be constructed accordingly. This is not required for the regular indicator lights.

    Try this for starters http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...gear+indicator
There are quite a few more including advice about not chosing white for the neutral, high beam and oil pressure but using a colour matched to the lens colour.

Thanks! Searched for socket designation (BA9s), guess that's why I didn't find the thread.
