Very nice! I like "purpose-made" items like this one for the workshop.
I do not have free access to the specialist machinery required to make this item (and assume high cost would be an issue if machining is outsourced), so I always make do with punching holes in a small cardboard box and labelling the holes with a permanent marker!1981 GS850G "Blue Magic" (Bike Of The Month April 2009)

Base will be made from solid, with no cutaway. Already done the top with bandsaw, drill press and linisher/polisher. and thanks.Comment

I'm admittedly cheap - these plus a couple others have worked for me for years.
Two layers of MDF and judicious use of a holesaw and drill.
I have several for 8V heads and another somewhere for GSX with holes for the rocker shafts on the ends.Attached FilesComment

Looks good, but do your mates say "OMG you have too much times on your hands, your a idiot or WTF for?" Mine do a lotComment

Mmm, yes, I can understand why they do that, LOL...
Those stands of mine are in pretty steady use. The 20V yamaha one was only emptied out at the weekend. I find if you haven't got them, you always need them....Comment

Nice one Sharpy! And yep, I'm of the DIY mind myself as well! My Kat head came along with all the valves in a container... so right now it doesn't matter which one goes where as long as exhaust goes in exhaust etc.Comment
