I'm thinking about changing my mufflers on a 82 gs850g from stock mufflers to reverse come shorties. Is jetting required?

Maybe.
Are they louder? A louder "muffler" usually indicates less restriction, therefore more airflow. More airflow requires larger jets.

That's reverse CONE. Is everything else stock? Stock airbox? Stock jetting? If the intake side is all stock then at most you will end up bumping up a size or two on the mains and opening the mixture screws 1/4-1/2 a turn. Until you put them on and see how it runs and what your plugs read you won't know for sure if jetting is required or not.Originally posted by Bob Shaw View PostHi guys,
