Lockhart Bypass oil Cooler Install ?

I bought a Lockhart unit complete with temp bypass valve.
Does anyone know the oil line routing for this, especially from the adapter behind the cylinders?
    Thanks

    Talking about a 1979 GS1000S.

Saw that, it's no help, it's 16 valve info.
      Thanks anyway.

I believe I ran the lines up and along the frame "backbone". Cooler upside down? It's been almost 40 years though...

I've seen where some guys route the lines over the engine and others route around the engine with both lines on one side.

The Lockhart pickup adapter uses a rubber seal that fits between the adapter and the oil port in the engine. You need to be sure the rubber seal is in good condition or oil will not flow through the cooler.
All the extra plumbing adds pressure drop to the oil supply system which is why using 750 oil pump gears, which spin the oil pump faster, is a popular mod. At the end of the day though unless you are racing the bike it may not be worth all the hassle and risk of leakage to add a cooler at all.
