If the higher pressure is so much better I'm curious why suzuki didn't install the 750 gears in the first place. Is there a drawback?

Higher pressure, more rotational power loss, need for more oil in the engine (max on the window). With a cooler you need to add at least 1/2 maybe one full qt depending on length of the lines & cooler cap.
