Got one back today!

[1978GS750E]

About 2 years ago I sold my 1978 GS750E, which was BOTM in November 2017. I regretted selling it before the buyer even got out of sight on it!

Right after Christmas, I started wondering if the owner might possibly consider selling it back to me, as we had spoken a few times, and he mentioned that he was needing to do some maintenance on it over the winter. So I attempted to contact him without any response. I found out later that sadly, he had passed away suddenly on Christmas day. This week, I get a call from his widow inquiring if I still wanted the bike.

Of course I said YES!

I picked it up this morning and now I have it back! Below is a picture of what it looked like when I sold it. Right now it needs a good cleaning and some carb work, but should be back on the road soon!



I guess the moral to the story is ..............never sell a bike that you really like!

Just joking, I feel sorry for the fellows wife. But you probably helped her out by getting the motorcycle out of there.

Yeah, she didn't know what to do with it. Her husband had only ridden it about 2,000 miles since he bought it, but refused to sell it even after he bought a Moto Guzzi.

She had no idea on a price, so I paid her what I sold it for, and we were both happy with the deal.
