    1100

I like that year. I am in the middle or getting a black 81 GS1100E back on the road. I sold it in the early 90's and some crack head wound up with it, so it was pretty wasted when I got it back. The VM 33's and header were still on it, but the hot cams were gone.

You want to run the mix a little fat, it runs a little cooler that way. I like the engine paint. Good luck with it.

Blowing the headlight or fuse is another sign that your RR is putting out too high voltages I believe....

Replace all the fuses for new ones - you never know with a 20 year old fuse.

Well, took the 1100E to work this morning (36F when I left ). I had synced the carbs late yesterday & didn't ride it 'til this AM.

Made a noticable improvement in the vibration dept...

My mix screws are each around 2.0 turns out - I had initially set them at around 2.5 turns, but it stumbled from idle.

Seems a bit "twitchy" when transitioning from low - mid throttle, perhaps i need to move the needles up a half notch??

Guess I need to do some plug chops & see where i'm at...

The voltage output from the RR seems to have settled down to around 14.8V at 5K. I'll be watching it & if the fuse blowing continues I will indeed replace the RR... No problems since I replaced all the old fuses

Dan, your old bars look pretty good on this old girl!
