So today I took the tank down off the shelf, where it has been for the last eight years, to start paint stripping and repairing imperfections.

Oh, did I mention there was still about 3-4 liters of fuel in it.

Now I have known this all along, and decided to leave fuel in it to prevent the rust monster.
Not that we suffer from it up here, but, just in case.
Well...........................what came out of there was NASTY, my Lord, it looked like a toxic waste experiment.
This is what eight year old fuel looks like.

And this is what it left inside, I was going to take a light and peer inside, but now I am too scared.

And the smell, OMG,
Bumped into the whining neighbor on my way back in from the shops, the one who squealed like a little bitch last time, to the body corporate, moaning much better about how there is something that is making his garage stink to high heaven.
Guess I can expect more rude letters next week, oh well.

So tomorrow it will be, me, the tank, 3 bottles of vinegar and some nuts and bolts, and then some paint stripper.
