Look back at the last page and you'll see exhaust.

Joe I'll probably go with either stock or stockish looking mirrors. Just need to find a good looking set of signals. Did you look at those bar end signals? Whatcha think?

Quality looks decent I think they would look really good.

SO over a year has passed and finally getting serious. Don't ask me why in the hell it took this long I really don't have an explanation. Anyway after dealing with Dyna 2000 ignition problem for seemingly months we finally just put a Dna S ignition in bike just to get it started and see if we were going to have any problems with engine. You will see dyna 2000 box in vid (it is bad; new unit on way from dyna) as well as the dna S. Sounds pretty decent though. Looking to have it ride-able by end of next week then start tear down for paint/powdercoat/anodizing. Time to break out the wallet! Goal is to have bike ready to go for Harvest Classic October 18. I sure wish Larry (Nvr2old) was still painting.

Also in vid you will see we are having a slight fitment issue with pipe. One of headpipes is slightly off and won't go onto collar. Hoping that if we get it hot enough it will be more bend-able and get it on. Don't really want to start hitting with rubber mallet with any force for fear of denting header. ANy ideas/suggestions? Click on pic.

Man that vid sure is jerky. Is it my computer (has been running slow) or is it really like that?

Ptexotic - No it's not your computer; great sound. Steve if I can get some velocity stacks that would work good I'll probably go with those. If not pods.

Right now I am trying to figure out what type of turn signals to go with. That and anodized master cylinders
              (and where to mount them).

So bike is completely stripped and all parts are off for paint, powdercoat, polishing, anodizing, and zinc plating. Time to break out the $$$$!!

Holy crap I am stressed out with trying to figure out exactly what colors to do everything. Do I powdercoat, anodize or polish? If so which color? Do I want semi-gloss, gloss, etc. Freaking making me crazy.

Here is what a whole boatload of powdercoated, anodized, and zinc plated parts looks like. It's like a kit Kat! Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. Home stretch!

It is the cardboard box full of bolts and axles that looks great to me. Zinc!

Just cleaned them up. The only parts I had polished before anodizing were all the parts that were going to be clear anodized. Everything you see in pics that looks polished has been anodized clear.

As far as cost it wasn't itemized. I would guess maybe $100 for the forks (or less). I had some parts gold, some black, red and clear. Total for everything was $460.

I could have done the forks in lighter gold which would have been helped I think with polshing but I wanted to go with a darker gold (more like Ohlins).
