Chuck, I will try my best to get a picture up tomorrow! Even the radio is in and playing! I have not put the old edge trim back on as I decided to rather splurge on new edging, but JC Whitney unfortunately does not ship to the RSA and did not even bother replying to my email. So I have a long suffering friend near lake Huron.....

As the rain came down a friend arrived to have his Foxpro loaded with new calls, then another with a leaking petcock and I have a PC from my son that needs some motherboard capacitors replaced which I had to locate and order from Hong Kong.

      Watch this space!

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

My wallet is in permanent recession! Every time I think now that's it, then the goalposts move and some more "challenges" appear on the horizon!

I have made up the bungee cords from 3mm elastic rope and some wire hooks on the end. I crossed them under the carbs and they have just enough tension to stop the side flaps on the Windjammer lowers from vibrating. Each flap has the two inner clips for the Vetter badge with a small eyelet and they are just hooked into these.

How well did the paint you had mixed compare to the original paint on the side covers?

you can now change the title of this thread to 'Windjammer in South Africa.'

                          I'm stunned...

Wow! Awesome job, by looking at it I wouldn't be able to tell you assembled it from bits and pieces.

The colour is very close, but I was not able to give it the "marble" effect, that was just too much for me! I eventually had 500mL mixed, more than enough for the tank, boxes and then the front mudguard.

How did you wire your hooters, sorry horns? Did you run separate wires or did you use the Vetter harness?

Even I cannot believe that it worked out!
I need to set a target for that tank, it looks out of place now!

Its 23 C here and I have it in the sun to help speed up the curing today.
