82 gs850l tank question

I have a nicely running 82 gs850l with a pretty banged up tank.

Although it doesn't bother me a whole lot, I have had an itch recently to get a tank that looks a little better. Herein lies the problem; 850l tanks are nearly impossible to come by.

Does anyone know if any other tank will be direct bolt on? The 650l tank appears to be very similar, but I haven't had a chance to measure it and try to put it on.

Just for clarification, it is the style of tank that has 2 vertical rear mounts.

I have one of each sitting here, the 650L is shorter by quite a bit.

I don't have an extra 1100 tank laying around, but would that be a direct bolt on?

Yes, 82/83 GS1100GL & 80/81 GS1000GL will fit. Maybe the 80/81 GS1100L.
