        It should be fine as long as the bike is properly tuned and starts quickly. Definitely not good for testing.

        Here are the specs:
        Voltage: 13.2V
        Capacity: 4.6AH
        Configuration: 4S2P, 8 cells
        Cell Model: 26650
        135 CCA

        The Dimensions:

          Can these A123-type batteries really be safely charged from the bike's system?

            From the research I've done, yes, but I'm not an authority on the subject. Probably someone like Posplayr should be the guy to ask to get a definite (technical) answer.
            There are many people using them on motorcycles though, with no ill effects as far as I could tell.

              Everything is finally wired up, just some zip tying left to do.

              Here is a short video trying to show the turn signals in action. The front one is washed out by the awesome power of my new 35W DDM Tuning HID kit , but you can see the rear which is the cool one anyway.



              -sorry for the crappy quality, my cellphone didn't like the HID light. Oh, and for the incredibly messy garage also.

                WOW...I had given up on the idea of doing a 'chopper' style GS, but seeing what you've done here...well, I'm definitely reconsidering now!

                      Very nice work! I am in the midst of a similar project with my L. I can't wait for my shorty mufflers to come in after hearing yours! Great job.

                      What kind of seat is that you have and where did you get it? I have been going between modifying the stock pan and re-padding it or getting a similar solo seat like yours. Not sure yet.

                        Ben, the seat is a 16 incher from https://www.larosadesign.us/ (they have some on sale all the time). Don't get anything smaller because it will look tiny, I returned my first one.

                            You mentioned in one of your first posts that you were planning on doing some 2-up riding...how do you plan on building the passenger seat, or have you given up on that idea?

                              No, I haven't given up on the idea at all, just decided that the wife can wait until everything else is finished (and I have ridden it a little!).

                              If you look a the pictures on the second page, you'll see that I left the seat stays as long as possible, about 8 inches after the end of the solo seat. That's where the removable passenger seat will go. Won't be extremely comfortable, but good enough for riding around town.
                              I'll try to draw something later so you can picture it better.
