i am over on the northwest side, my bike is at a shop off gessner and some side street that i cannot for the life of me remember. but yes it is pretty rough through there

Yep there are some pretty bad roads off Gessner.
I must admit my first thought of making it a hardtail was "sacrilege" but, seeing how it's coming along, I can't wait to see how it turns out, that's gonna be one really nice bike.

On my first '82 I removed the rear shocks and installed struts, didn't take me long to put the shocks back on. That was twenty five years ago and my back still reminds me of it.

oh trust me i knew it lol, its no skin off my teeth. I am glad that you guys can appreciate it though. I got the engine back in the frame last night and got some of the covers bolted on. I did forget my camera so you guys will have to wait till tuesday for more pics. i think you will live though, plus i will be installing the forks end the front and rear wheels so there will be lots of pics

got a lot more work done. i am going to push thursday to completely finish my seat pan. Still a lot of cleaning up to do but it is getting there. on to the pics!

i really like how you're integrating the seat pan with the tank. most builds leave that bit unattended and it often can look untidy/unfinished. great work man.

the exhaust is just a vance and hines street megaphone, the end cap and "baffle" which is nothing more than a 4'' perforated tube is just something i whipped up from bits around the shop. Oh and i agree those cars are taking up all my workspace! hopefully i can ride it out of there in about two weeks
