Hi all...I have visited the site a number of time for help and reference. Thought I"d show off progress: '82 GS1100GK bought on line for $500.
New tires, brakes, fluides, air cleaner, exhaust, general tune up stuff, carbs jetted and synced, shocks.
Still to do: progressive springs in front, get the turn signals and tail light to work. If it runs well through the summer, might just do a complete tear down as a winter project...if not, I'll sell her off. Right now, runs strong. My other bike is a Yamaha Stratoliner. This one is the opposite of the big cruiser. Blast to ride.
