Hahaha now don't be like that, you will get her running, and I'll bet when you work out what it is you'll kick yourself...

I reckon its electrical, maybe not getting enough spark?

Hmmmm dunno... but if your plugs are going black then it's too rich.

Have you done a plug chop at those rev's yet?

You mean get to the revs where the problem is and shut it down and pull the plugs? No not yet, any roads where i can get to those speeds around here are to busy to do it, there is 1 road that goes through a national park i could try, i'll try and get some video, might not be for afew days though as i'm booked out the rest of the week.

Yeah that's what I meant, and it can be hard to do I would imagine. I haven't had to do it yet, but once I start tuning for the K&N's I expect to be doing a few...

Maybe your choke is sticking open or something? That would certainly do it, although I would think at all rev's... but maybe your throttle cable is doing something funky at that point? Dunno...

I check that the choke is physically shut everytime i ride it, i dunno why though just a habit.

I'll try and do a plug chop tomorrow afternoon

Figured out the problem with the bike, the magnet under one of the pulse coils was shattered. You have probably seen my posts but thought i would update this anyway.

Wow, would never have guessed that to be the cause, but it makes sense i guess.

Yeah got me too Mike, not something obvious at all...

Josh, have you had any luck with a replacement yet? Lost track of the wanted thread and too lazy to go searching...

i'm trying to get just a magnet here in aus but no wrecker will sell me just a magnet even from a stuffed pulse coil and the local wrecker had no idea what i was talking about in regards to the setup my bike has he only had the older setup.

Got bored this afternoon so made a new chain guard that looks abit less bunnings lol. gotta grind the welds and paint it yet so i'll get some pics up when thats done.

Glad to see you're persevering Josh, you will win! I take it you didn't end up getting that spare engine? Would've been an expensive way to get the magnet... haha

A "less bunnings" chain guard hey? Cool, definitely would like to see that
