Forgot to ask if you're planning on putting the front brake back on or are you happy with just the rear drum?Comment

I'm not going to put a disc on up front, but if I switch to spoked wheels anytime soon I'll probably try to build a brake stop bracket on the springer... but for now the rear brake stops me just fine. I just ride a little differently when I don't have a front brake...Comment

So I Drained the oil and pulled the side cover to investigate why the starter wasn't engaging and this is what I found:

The bolt holding te rotor on the main shaft had back way out and the rotor wasn't even on the taper anymore, which explains why the starter wasn't engaging AND why it stopped charging yesterday! Awesome. Got it fixed up, filled with oil, started right up and was charging great, so what to do? Test ride!!!Comment
