I've been wanting to raise the Yosh can I have on the old girl for quite some time - finally did it today, have a look:

That's a great look top to bottom and front to back. Very clean lines. The line of the pipe matches almost perfectly to the rear frame, but not so much that it looks unnatural.

I see you took the wee windshield off the as well. Is that a permanent move?

The windscreen is a Spitfire model, easy on/off bracket mounting... It's too small to be of any real value on the highway, although it does keep the wind off your chest. However, the airstream hits directly on my helmet & the wind noise is bothersome. I like driving the bike without the screen better!

Looks like the perfect everyday bike Mike. I like the pipe and small windscreen. There may be downsides to the deflected wind blast, but try some back to back rides (with and without) before you decide you like the wind better.

You're right, that's my everyday rider here in CT - I keep my 850 in VT for the weekends!

I've had that windscreen on & off several times, it's helpful when the temps start to drop for sure - I can duck down a bit & get some protection. However, when it's warm out I like the rush of air on me.

I think I may get one a little larger when the weather starts to turn colder in the Fall.

Yes, polishing the cases is on my to-do list. I've never done that before however, so I'm a bit apprehensive...

My philosophy is mechanical reliably first, aesthetics second (meaning someday I'll get around to making it look pretty).
