Stan, I don't know about being a masterpiece, but I will guarantee it will be done to the best of my abilities. like most people here I have no special skills, just patience.

how about a bit of inspiration for all those long hours you will be putting into Jennifer?

Thank's Ed! Coming from you I know that's a compliment I can trust.

I will say, I didn't know what I was missing until I shot epoxy primer; I love the stuff!

I still need to fill the areas which were pitted from rust and hit those spots again. I wish I had a good mini gun; maneuvering a full size gun inside the frame is difficult at best.

Ed, sure nice of you to offer the use of your guns.

it's a bit tight inside the frame with my Astro, yet still manageable. you just have to think it out. a picture of what it looked like just before I wet sanded it.

and, if I may be so bold, not too shabby for using a knock off gun with a 1HP compressor.

I de-greased the frame with a 50/50 mix of simple green and water (thanks nvr2old! ), then wet sanded the frame with 600 wet/dry paper backed up with a 3M foam pad. tomorrow I'll spot where I sanded though the epoxy and those rust pitted areas. then in three or four days I'll shoot it with epoxy and block sand one last time before top coating it.

                just for you Andre...

I get in what I can when possible.

started prepping the chain guard for paint...

                    now in primer...

finished my $1.98 petcock overhaul a few days ago. I think it came out well considering it was completely plugged up and corroded so badly I had to drill and scrape out all the passages, polish the sealing surfaces with 1K paper and reconditioned the tapered seat which was pitted (where the o-ring seals fuel flow), using a wooden dowel and valve lapping compound.

3~4 hours of work and it looks like new again.

Wash Primered and epoxied the centerstand for the '80 while I was at it.

It was a true skunk...The tank had been replaced by a blue onn e and reapinted. The seat trim and tailpiece were original and factory painted. There was some damage that we determined came from a possible lay down on the left sdie at one time. Theres no doubt in my mind it left the factory black and white.

Greg, Neither mine, nor yours is a true skunk and I bet that you, as well as I, are glad of the fact they don't have a stink gland

                                (yes mine is a GS1000EC)

Greg, so what are you going to name yours?

I hear Penelope II is still available!!!!
