Hmmmmm...Not sure what is going on.Checked the wheel,2.15x18.Checked the neck decal,2.15x18.All I can think is a country difference. There are alloys with singles in the Gallery pics. Not to worried but it is curious.Originally posted by rustybronco View PostMines 17" on the rear. didn't the 18" mag come on Cooleys?

Yes they are. Can't think how this has alloys though. Not 1000E wheels, seems like a lot of troble to put other wheels on this.Suzuki Canada does things diferently sometimes and this might be one.

I used PPG's 'shopline' direct gloss urethane (SSU) instead of PPG's 'concept' direct gloss. I'm pleased with the way it covers. I guarantee the frame will look nice when it's all painted. well, that is if I don't screw things up!

again, fresh off the gun... (I need to use a booth!)

The frame is 'baking' as I type.

I hammered the second coat on. I hope it doesn't come back and bite me in the butt, but...

 ***edit***

It looks better in the pictures than it does in real life.

there are a few areas with slight orange peel which I will hit with 2000 grit and polish. then a bit of touch up in areas I couldn't easily get at while it was on the stand. all in all, not to shabby for my first time painting a frame.

see how shiny it looks!!!! http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4778/img2499h.jpg http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4778/img2499h.jpg
(shot through the window which has became a bit coated with paint over the years. ) )

Looks good Dale. I wouldn't worry about a little orange peel on a frame, unless it's on a visible surface.

Ed, I'm probably more critical of things than I should be. the peel can be lived with, but as long as it's a direct gloss paint, I might as well cut and buff it while I can.

I wouldn't want it to 'haunt' me every time I look at it...

and another thing. with all those paint guns in the mixing room... I was VERY tempted to see how well they compared to mine!

Chuck, have a quart of clear and some different temp hardeners and reducers. one quart should be enough to do three or four frames. so then the question becomes... are we doing this at your place or mine?Originally posted by chuck hahn View PostLooks purty..now it makes me wanna strip all my bikes down and add some clear to the frames...
