Piston Ring Seat, Carb Sync/adj., Plug chop

So, I've read the info on all these. I recently rebuilt my engine from the very last bolt to seal. It's running, but obviously now needs the fine tuning. Who know how long it's been since last run, but everything has been rebuilt, even carbs and valves lapped. My question is what do I start with first. I put in new rings, so I need to seat those to the cylinder wall. So.........do i just so so adjust carbs and ride the bike "balls to the wall" as suggested for break in(Yes, I know i have to ride it hard on and off for the first 20 miles)? then carb sync( i did do the bench sync) and it doesn't sound all to off), then plug chop?

Ride it hard first, fine tune it later. The time it takes to get it running perfectly will wear away a lot of the cross hatching that you need to get the good tight ring seal. As long as it isn't detonating, being a little off won't hurt anything.

I always do a quick sync job before riding the bike. It only takes a few min. and I hate riding bikes that won't idle properly.

It's worth a few minutes with a poor idling engine if necessary to allow the engine to have full compression or years to come.
Besides, you won't be idling the engine anyway, BWAAAAAHHHHuuuuuuuuuuuuBWAAAAAAuuuuuuBWAAAAAAAAAAA AAHHHHHHHHHHHuuuuuuu BWWAAAAAAUUUUUUUU.... Etc, etc, etc.
Idling right away is the death of tight rings.

            Alright.......This is serious

After three years of a very slow build and monster sprint these last 4 months, I'm getting insurance on it so I can be halfway legal on the road. I need to get inspection and pay for my registration again.

I have done the break in succesfully and now to proceed with carb sync and plug chop. quick question about the plug chop though........What exactly is the "color" that it's referring to. I don't understand that part.
