I am thinking of upgrading my starter and ground wires to 6 gauge first
Should be better when it is broken in more, but then the rings will seal better
I think it is about $100 if you have a core. If you don't, I think it is $150. I am sure I have decent core in my garage if you need it.

I emailed him, he wants $400 including shipping for the starter and idler gear shipped
What do you want for the core? and do you have an idler gear? Supposed to be an 18/55 tooth idler. I have no idea of what idler gear is in the bike.

Its the gear in between the starter and starter clutch.

Yes, I know what gear it is, but I have no idea of the tooth count of the one in the bike.

Dude, YOU need to get a bigger screen.

Maybe even with a newer computer.

Take the pictures any resolution you want. Set up your PhotoBucket account to automatically re-size any pictures you upload to a smaller size. I use 800x600. That shows up reasonably well on-screen and minimizes the amount of space you use on your PhotoBucket account. Note that this leaves the pictures at the original resolution on your storage media at home, it only re-sizes the upload.

I have run the bike about 150k now, its LOTS of fun to ride, mondo torque. Whacked it wide open and the clutch seems to slip a little. Thats with 3 barnett, 3 ebc and an extra steel for more stack height. I replaced all the starter wires with HD wire and soldered ends. Helps with the starting, along with my new R&R.
Starts ok cold, but not so much when hot.

Have you tried mixing Avgas or racing fuel with more octane?

You need a lock up with that much torque &, before you ask, they work fine on a street bike. Ray.

Got my super squirrel starter from Paul Cashio today. I also made up some 6 Ga wires for it too. Dont know when I will have time or energy to get it installed.
Supposed to be first day of spring and it was just hailing out there So its not like im going for a ride anyway.

The red wires are 6 Ga. The black one is the stock one for comparison.

I paid ~$50 for a starter core off ebay, paid for shipping to LA, then $150 for the rebuild and $40 shipping. As far as I can tell from online fiche the 1100E engines have the proper idler gear (18/55).

I found the time to install the starter tonight, also did a compression test. #2 was 170 psi the rest were 180-190psi totally cold/dry. No wonder the starter is having a hard time turning it over. I wonder what it is when its warmed up
I also went from a 16 to 17 tooth front sprocket. I also have an 18 tooth as well still new in package. Wheelies are fun, but also dangerous when it happens at 1/2 throttle in mid corner, I could end up in oncoming traffic when the front end comes down.
