Have some winter upgrades lined up for the gs850 and I lack both the space and the confidence to tackle them on my own (the space is the real killer here, but both are relevant).
I'm hoping to do the following:
- replace my rear shocks
- replace my fork springs
- replace tach cable
- get fuel gauge working
- stainless front brake line
- new cylinder cover head gasket and breather gasket
- valve adjustment
- check my exhaust, maybe some work to do sealing where the megaphones attach to the pipes (exhaust connectors?)
- replace seat cover
most of these parts are at my house already.
i figure this could take me awhile, especially as someone new to wrenching. i don't have any place that i can leave the bike disassembled, and i'd love to have some help and company while i "get my feet wet"

wondering if anyone in new jersey or NYC would be willing to share their garage and experience with a new GSer. I'll bring the beer / your beverage of choice.
thanks kindly,
aaron
