 I'm in the process of breaking down the carbs... I need help... most tutorials have a filler tube with o rings. Mine doesn't have that....
 
  
 
 The OEM part isn't available anymore and the seals seem to be molded on the tube.

 I got mine from Boulevard Suzuki as it was still available.

 I checked with a few dealers around as well as some online stores. I also checked boulevard Suzuki but none have it.... I guess I will have to reuse the part. The rubber is still supple so I hope it is okay.

 I think it'll be ok. There's basically no fuel pressure. If it turns out that it does leak- you can always try plan B or plan C...

 Yeah I only replaced mine because the first time I put fuel in it started to leak out of one side... if there's no leak and it seals, just leave it be.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

 Okay so I ordered some things.
 - Fuel line
- Fuel line spring (mine is bent up)
- Fuel line clips
- Vacuum line that goes to the fuel cock
- new springs for the slides (measured one .24" shorter than the other)
- new main and idle jets
- cycleorings o ring kit for CV carbs as well as the o rings for the intake boots
 
 
 I dipped the carbs and started reassembling them as much as I could without the new parts.
 
 I washed the hell out of the airbox using dish soap since I think that was part of the issue...see when I first got the bike the air filter wasn't exactly all there. It disintegrated. I'm thinking there was still some crud in the airbox.
 
 The airbox and intake boots are still supple so I'm going to keep them.
 
 I found a possible bad connection in the main fuse... I'm thinking about replacing the whole thing with an ATO fuse holder.
 
 The battery tested good so I'm going to keep it.
 
 
 
 On a side note... part 52 (13281-11400) in the picture is called a "net" Anyone know what it is for? I'm going to put it back in and all but I'm curious what it does?Last edited by Guest; 06-18-2012, 08:52 AM.

 Sounds like some good progress!
 
 If you had the glass fuse holder in there still, definitely ditch it. Those things are an electrical failure waiting to happen...

 Yeah I definitely have those fuel ring "net" looking things too. One of mine wasn't looking the greatest when I pulled it out. A little bent but I straightened it up.
 
 I think they help in mixing the fuel and air. Not 100% sure and I could be dead wrong, but that would be my guess.
 
 Thanks for the heads up on the chain and sprockets btw.
 
 Try cross-referencing the 80-81 GS250T. It has the same engine/carbs/and most everything else. That is how I have been able to find a lot of the stuff for mine.
 
 That being said, mine is a little bit more of a hodge podge and less shiny than yours You seem to be going more for keeping it all original so you may not want to put GS250 stuff in.

 Removed the carbs from the dip, cleaned them and started to reassemble.
 
  
 
 I actually ordered the o rings a few days ago.... they came in today!
