Bonanza - I've got the one good fork you need. Free. PM about mailing address and *cough*shipping*cough* and its on the way. Just one tube shouldn't be bad - USPS/Canada Post are really good - courier quality and cheaper.

Not a lot going on, but I'll post what moved - yeah, wow.

The left hand rear wheel bearing took quite a while to get here. Anyway with the bearings the wheels went together.

And the front signal lens were beyond hope. Still available in inventory.

And that's it. Sucks, I know.

Yeah but its sure slow. The summer has the outside "Hunny Doo" stuff and its sucking up time. However, the bike isn't going anywhere this year so......

Well after looking at others making such terrific progress, I'm jealous so I offer up all that has happened the last few months. I was away for most of the summer and yardwork took care of any free time.

The forks are back together. Well yahoo - yeah I know, but the longest journey begins with the first step.

The tubes are used, but pit free. Everything from them left is new (wear and seal items) from the lower legs right are the original parts.

And look - they go together.

That's it. However I have most of the engine pieces for her tear down. The great unknown is the condition of the barrels.

Good to see somebody else using the freezer top as a work bench.
The washer and dryer lids are covered in carb parts.

You got 'er Pontiac. All the parts are in the house (no more layout storage in garage). And the lighting is much superior to what I have outside. Now wife wants the parts room finished off as kids are migrating home for Christmas break. And no way this thing will be there by then. So it has to move again. But a freezer with fluorescent is nice and bright.

Due to static discharge these photos have been ionized.

Looks good, I just finished putting my forks back together also and hope to get the front end together tomorrow. I'm not going to worry about painting the body work right now.

I had thought the same, but doing the stupid buying sight unseen, I had thought the bike was in better shape than what I got. I had hoped that most was just normal wear - pictures looked much better than in person. And the whole reason was that Goddamn nice looking '82/'83 style. Always loved it from day one. Maybe its cliche - but its sweet. I'm so friggin' upside down on this thing, and a ton to go - but if it can put me back to my first ride on an '82 E in '82 - money well spent! There is a fountain of youth.
