It's Finished

Yep, I finally sanded down the tank and side covers this week and my friend polished them for me today. It's not perfect but I'm happy with how it runs and looks. I still need to add a voltmeter and a different license plate bracket but those will come as time permits. Sure felt good to put the emblems back on that's for sure.

The paint is a PPG DBC/DBI PCL/KCL Blue Streak Pearl B/C code number 931299 found on the Avenger, Dart, and Caravan (sorry I was mistaken as the other one I'd considered was found on the Viper). I'm really looking forward to what it will look like once we're done.

On second thought, slap a white star or some military looking numbers or something on that green primer tank and ride it. I got a lot of compliments on my 650 while it was in green primer. Or Olive Drab, if you prefer.

Same color as I tried in October. I'm not touching the paint gun this time and will let my friend do it all so it should turn out better. I will, however, do the sanding so there's still a chance at having a major screw-up.

That's the wrong attitude. There is also a chance it will come out perfect.
