I'm progressing slowly. At the moment I'm polishing the front wheel. The discs and all the fasteners are ready to fit. I'll post some more photos sometime soon.Comment

A die grinder, 650 gaskets, 650 exhaust or make some spacers to use the 550 exhaust.
You will need to split the cases, might want to get oil seals for the countershaft, etc unless yours are fairly new.
You should already have the CV carbs, you will need some different jets, that's about it.Comment

I'm planning on splitting the cases whichever way I go, and have carbs waiting for a rebuild. I'll make a final decision on which top end to use once I have everything cleaned and checked over. At the moment I have two complete top ends (one 550, one 650) and an extra 650 head.
Will I need spacers to enable tke 550 exhaust to reach into the 650 head?Comment
