            thank you for the info fellas. Now I have some unattached wires. I think may go to the tank but not sure(pic in below comment) also i have issues with rear light not working and have another unattached wire think it related?

              There is a factory shop manual that you can download on Bikecliff's site. It will help you. Those wires are indeed heading toward the back, and there isn't much besides turn signals, brakes, and tail lights back there. Those other ones may be the gas gauge. Yellow black and a black yellow? That's what I remember anyway.

                    The wires you are referring to are the fuel gauge sending unit wires.

                      Looks like the guys have all of your questions taken care of so far. Have fun on the rebuild. I've got the (almost) finished product of what you are working on sitting in my garage now.
