To bob or not to bob.

I just picked up two bikes. One is a 82 650 the other is an 83 850. The 650 is the one I am thinking of bobbing. I am not going to keep the bike just clean it and get it running and sell. But not sure which will be more bang for the my buck. I feel the bobber will sell faster for my area.

What are your feelings on doing this to the bike.

Will add photo of the bike as soon as I stop being a noob and read how to....LOL

              As an L rider...

Bob the L, if bob you must. Save the 650E, it will be worth more in good condition than the 850L and worth less than that after being cut on.

They are getting really hard to find.

                850L, dime a dozen.

What is the fascination with bobbing bikes? Gross.

Meh bobbing an L, all good. Bobbing a 650E, sacrilege.

OK, this is why sites like this are treasures. I did not know that the "E" was of importance. The L is going to have cosmetic surgery. But now due to you guys the E is safe. I will just do a resto on it. Looking at it today she needs a new seat.spark plugs, oil change and new Bat. , and she should be up and running. Plus new paint on the tank.

How could you tell it was an E from my crapy pic?

Thanks for the info and heads up.
