Just looked up Win racing - that's literally 10min from where I live. Once I get the engine broken in and the carbs dialed in a bit better, I will investigate doing a few dyno pulls to get my AFR better adjusted and to squeeze as much power out of this beast as possible!

Here's another in Elgin- they specialize in cycles...if the one next door can't do it.

Nicely done! Even with all of your mods and upgrades it still looks very close to stock, which in my opinion, is still one of the most beautiful bikes ever produced. How does she run/handle?

I'm getting the carbs dialed in right now - had an off-idle running lean issue that was corrected 95% by a bigger pilot jet and I'm hoping a slightly smaller pilot air jet will correct the remaining lean condition from 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. I may have to install a bigger needle jet at some point, however, that's down the road.

Other than that, she screams - had her up to 90mph on the highway with no odd vibrations, wandering, etc :-) Suspension is firm but comfortable.

This weekend, I will be checking the valves, retorquing the head, installing the new air jets, and taking her for another spin to check the improvement.

                  Update, 6/25

I am happy to report that dropping the pilot air jet from .8 to a .7 (richer) cured the sneezing from 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. I have the pumpers set to start at 1/4 throttle and stop at 3/4 throttle - as of the last test ride a couple days ago, she runs great and the dead spot when I pounce the throttle is 98% gone. I'm going to adjust the pumpers to come on a smidge earlier and see what happens. From this point, the bike will eventually go to a dyno to measure the exact AFR throughout the RPM range. Like the signature of a regular on this board, "To measure is to know..."

Bucket is from Dime City Cycles, powder coated to match my frame, and the headlight is an LED assembly manufactured by Truck-Lite.

I have a question. What's next? You definitely have the ability to make a motorcycle better than new. Any projects in the future?
                              My Motorcycles:
22 Kawasaki Z900 RS (Candy Tone Blue)
22 BMW K1600GT (Probably been to a town near you)
82 1100e Drag Bike (needs race engine)
81 1100e Street Bike (with race engine)
                              79 1000e (all original)
                              82 850g (all original)
                              80 KZ 650F (needs restored)

I have another *much* less extensive rebuild of a Ducati in the works - will post pics in the "other rebuilds" forum shortly :-)
