1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D
I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things. -
A good deal, but not a steal. I figure by the time I tear it down, blast engine, maybe bore o/s, paint engine, reassemble with OEM gaskets and seals, paint bodywork, paint frame, new tires, rebuild carbs, and whatever else I will spend much money! Not to mention the top end noise issue.
i got a good buy, but it is a winters work, which is what I was after. I get bored if I am not doing anythine!

Don't we all?
I'd give you a year out here, and then you'd think it was a steal. No way, no how you would get it here for under $1000. Even though I have noticed that prices back home for cars and trucks are not that much less, motorcycles still come in way under the dollar values we see here on the coast.'83 GS650G

Lol, BC= bring cash!
my buddy is in Abbotsford and I had him out here a couple of years ago on a contract and he was in disbelief at the low cost of housing and many other things.
But this side of Canada is way behind the times and some stuff is impossible or very hard to get. A very small population is the blame, NS has less than a million in population. Lots of political patronage to boot......

Bike is in my possession, from a quick glance lots of prior PO's carnage
.
The young fellow I bought it from realized he was in over his head and had to cut his losses.
Pictures to follow in a few days.

You're a teacher? You should ALWAYS be in an isolation bubble. Classrooms are just a bubbling cesspool of viral infections at the best of times, LOL!'83 GS650G
