Good job on that ol' motor HB! Love the polished breather cap, and the rest of the bits and pieces. Also glad that bolt turned out for the best. You're putting anti-seize on those SS bolts right?

wow, Steve...you really went the extra mile on yours...those pieces look amazing!! I'm super happy with the way the breather cap turned out, with the level of time and work put in...if I didn't do the parts that don't get seen, to me I'll always see them so it's worth going the extra mile!Originally posted by Steve View PostLooking GOOD!!

I thought that maybe I was the only one that did silly things like polish the unseen "stuff".

I had to walk away from wiring harness a couple times while checking everything out and then attempting to get it all back in the bucket. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do it proper.

These connectors are available. Eastern Beaver comes to mind as the place where folks buy them. I bought a 9 pin connector from a west coast outfit ( http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/connectors.html ) in Oregon. The lesson I learned from buying one was to be sure to find the right pliers for crimping.Last edited by Charlie G; 04-17-2015, 09:50 AM.sigpic

Had my friend over this afternoon and all the electric are a go! (The dials are a little foggy, it's stuffy in my basement) Although I do need a front duel filament turn signal...anybody have a spare?! So with the electrics all good, I bled the front brakes, and tidied it all up so the motor can just go in...then we should be good to go!

Well, here she is...some before and afters! Now, she still not 100%, I still have to tweak some areas over the next few weeks...but for now, she runs well...a small leak did come out of the cylinder head cover on one side, so I'll have to take a closer look at that...Sorry for the overload in images!
