    GS750 - Katana - Bandit 1200 Hybrid

    Help required

Hi guys, I'm in the planning stage with a BITSA project and need some help.

I have a GS750DB frame that I intend to use, mating modified bandit 12 suspension and the power unit to the frame. I have no issues there, but body work wise is where I am coming unstuck. What I'd like is the Katana styling nose fairing / tank / seat (shortened) but don't know how much difference there is between the 77-79 GS frame and the 84 Katana. Any one know is the tank will fit or is there extensive remodeling required?

    Cheers in advance

This is probably no help but mixing three bikes has got to be harder than just two. Why start with a GS750 frame if you want a modified 84 Kat?

I don't want a modified kat. I have a frame that'll get used to house the bandit 12 motor. I just like the kat styling and was wondering on the frame differences. From what I can see it's just mounting lugs.

Maybe you're the first to try it.
Are you gonna find OEM Suzuki body parts?
I'll bet you can find aftermarket fairings, best 'o luck finding a 750 Katana tank.

I would think you could make it work like you say by changing some mount lugs and tabs. Early katana body parts are not easy to find.good luck and build what you want

I have been thinking to make some GS to Katana conversion bodywork.
Anyone think they will need this?
