Man, I use a laptop mostly. But more than ever I'm thinking: I sit next to a 4K TV that I ...mean Santa got my kids...
Now I am feeling dumb for not figuring WT..cable / things to click to use it for monitor (Have to be when they're sleepn tho') ..

Thanks for the exhaust info Buffalo Bill, I like the one I have (a couple people say it's too big. worked out great, far enough back to not blow on a potential passenger , came off 140? H.P. Triumph so good flow) Nice to know another that'd go well.

I realized (before new pics) this fairing won't work with my headlight that turns.

A fairing that moves with the headlight and fork, that's called a quarter fairing.
A vintage Cooley fairing for retro look, or for modern sport look there are several choices from Rifle fairings that fit GSX1100G.

When I Googled "vintage Cooley fairing" like that holy ....the eye candy that popped up!

I'd consider giving up turning light (add auxiliary light(s) on handlebar somehow because used to it) for one like that though:

Been looking at a cheap quarter fairing because of budget and dunno whether it'll have clearance on sides (between tank and forks).
Figure I can sell it IF don't work.
But they only have dark tint and I'd prefer clear.
I saw rolls of 2-way mirror film on ebay for not much.
Wondering whether it'd be do-able for a small windscreen application. (That's IF I can find clear windscreen for it)

There's MORE to it than that,
when we were dating she even told me she LoOOOooved motorcycles.
But won't go around block even.
Been riding so long it got to be a priority whether potential "life-long mate" was petite enough to be a good passenger (IF didn't ride her own bike)....

That's EXACTLY why they're called "Players" or often "playas" because one "plays" the situation to fulfill one's personal needs.
That's why it's NOT a good idea to tell all about one's interests off the bat because they;ll just get easily "played" IMO. "Oh sure I love MC's, I LooOve living in the country too" etc. etc.
8 years and two kids later been on the MC maybe twice despite the smoothest riding , shifting and braking EVER...NO regard for giving free time for riding.
Just slightly more respect when I bring home a new bike and less when I sell one...Go figure between that and constantly getting called ******,***,etc. and nothing more than "yes honey you're beautiful today, please don't call me names like that" ...A bully that's what she is, a petite little non MC riding bully!

Thanks Rick, That's the one I was thinking of but hadn't heard good or bad about it.
Need a new battery lately , might just go on a minor spending spree (battery, fairing, mirrors, braided cables, master rebuilds, maybe some turn signals, missing rubber pads for 2 of foot pegs...)

Planning on probably buffing the tint right off the windshield.

Been wondering, IF the GS is already set up for a Vetter fairing,
should/seems like match up ,somewhat, for the retro/ Ducati style Air-tec fairing (?)
(Maybe even borrow some of the mounts off the vetter (?))
There's a GS850 ad near me, w/ large Vetter and that'd be a key feature IF so...

I'll tell yeah something bad about that Emgo fairing, the windshield is made of wax. When you pick it up it'll crack up and break like a beer bottle in a TV western.

Ok, I like it. Finally got rid of it's frumpy olde 80s cruiser look, while keeping the original black with pinstipes.
No sawsall, No larva seat, No "Cafe" BS.

Outstanding work Bill! I much prefer these fairings over the Cooley ones (I'm not a purist). And +1 on the Cafe sentiment. Nothing but cafe racers here in the NOVA area. Much rather see an old school muscle bike!

Interesting about the screen. I'm on my second Gustaffson screen. It does not come drilled with mounting holes. I bought the special drill bit and did some trials on the scrap piece they provide with the screen. Seems like brittle material- strong, but when drilled incorrectly, it shattered.

The first one ended up with a small crack that stopped at a mounting hole (overtightened). It was fine for a couple of years, until my cousin hit my kill switch goofing off in traffic. He bumped the screen, and the whole corner then broke off.

The Gustaffson screens look thin to me. The Meier windscreens I've been using are much thicker but they crack too, if you stress them at all.
Knowing that for my Gustaffson screen, I bought nylon nuts and bolts and only take up the slack on them, not tight at all. I expect the nylon bolts to flex with vibration and not transfer the stress to the screen.

I oversized the holes a bit and cushioned the screen with O rings on both sides.

I guess I lucked out on my Gustaffson screen. I taped it to the fairing, and proceeded to drill holes using a regular drill bit. No issues. I have the nylon screws and nuts as well.
