It's not a purist restoration, and it's not a race replica. To be honest, there's not much left of the original GS1000 save for the frame, engine, carbs, side panels and rear cowl. But it's just as I envisioned and I enjoy riding the hell out of it. There's still a slight hesitation from 2-3K rpm and the Koso guage still needs to be sorted, but otherwise, it handles like a dream, rides like a bike 150 lbs lighter, stops on a dime, and sounds amazing to boot!
