    1983 GS1000G rebuild - father son project

Could not wait for my son to finish his final exams so I had the motorcycle delivered the weekend before he wrote his last subject. Part of the purchase deal from our local bike shop was that Anton would clean and do the carbs, so they were removed first and delivered back to Anton. We are now 4 days into stripping. The PO had panniers, topbox and fairing fitted, but used angle iron to build the frames, must have added 20kg,s to the bike, they are not going back!
