Side project - giving my 1000C a freshen up

Kind of burned out on the main project and needed a few weekends working on something else so I raided parts mountain and pulled some parts I'd been slowly accumulating for this bike ..... just intended to start this in march.

the plan is - period muscle bike so no 17" wheels, no 90's brakes, no modern forks etc

    started here

I think a colour matched S fairing would look good along side your new upgrades.

Your going the right direction, wish my GS1000 project was that clean to start with.

                    Thanks - appreciate the input

watching the budget a little hence the shinko tires .
The YSS CB900F shocks have slightly pushed me past $1000 but I've got some orders for various elements of spares mountain which will allow one or two final goodies:
seat and if things work off I'll put some cartridge emulators in.

That's a fine looking ride. Having a cream puff as a starting point is something I've yet to have the pleasure of. Nice and tasteful work so far.

I will not do any modifications other than bolt on/in - so no cutting or painting and I'm keeping all the stock parts well preserved ( and I mean ALL the stock parts)- took about a year for the "I'm not touching it as its too stock" feeling to wear off

I'm incapable of keeping a bike stock ...... Already Have stuff lined up for the 1200 Bandit in a project box (race tech fork parts, GSXR1000K8 rear shock, braided hoses, gsxr1100K cams etc) and its already had the "dale walker treatment" so snagged 15-20HP there

If you are putting on a GS1100E swingarm.......Double check swingarm clearance with your rear footpeg/exhaust framework.
You may need to spread them apart just a bit, to get enough clearance for any sideload on arm.
