What to use to mend a split airbox - suggestions please?

I'm slowly (and I mean slowly) working to get a 1995 GSX750F Katana back into running condition. Just finishing up the carb rebuild and that portion is looking great! The airbox however is "split" in half along its circumferential tongue & groove seam. It's not broken, each half has simply pulled apart along its original seam...

The PO apparently used duct tape to keep it together, but that didn't seal it very well, and along with the mismatched airbox boots, lots of "extra" air must have been an issue.

So, I am thinking of cleaning everything up, scuffing up the mating surfaces along the bond lines and using some plumbing ABS pipe glue that can be found at HD or similar.

Does that seem like it would work? Or is this airbox plastic not ABS material...

I have the same issue with the airbox I picked up for the 83 750E. Hopefully, someone can chime in with a solution for us both. I was thinking about the JB weld plastic formula.

Devcon is great stuff, but the ABS glue should also work, if you can't find the Devcon.

Thanks guys... that Devcon stuff looks good - it states it will bond ABS so perhaps I'll give that a look...
