    1982 Gs650E Wheel conversion

Looking for some technical advice. I'm about to convert my 1982 GS 650E to caf? racer trim. I want to fit wire spoked wheels to give the right retro look. What wheels do I need to get to safely make the conversion , stlll keeping twin brake discs on the front wheel and single disc on the rear wheel.
Any advice welcome as my knowledge of parts interchangeabilityis limited. Thanks.

Earlier 750 or 1000 wheels should work. The "E" versions of both bikes had cast wheels similar to yours. The "standard" versions might have had single disks on the front, but the holes are there to mount the second one.

I believe it is 77 to 79 gs750 and gs1000 wheels. You probably have to go for gs1000 rear to get the one with spokes and disc. I sourced one of these a couple of years ago, and it was a lot of searching on the net because they are rare.

750's are disc rear. Be prepared to pay good dollar for a hub these days. And unless someone is selling one as stated above there rare
