Motor is 1166 with ported head and degreed 1150 cams, RS36 smoothbores and Motogpwerks pipe.
Swingarm is TL1000R with GSXR wheels and forks. YSS fully adjustable shocks
frame modified to mimic modern geometry. Steering tube cut and moved back 12mm, rake steepened to 26 degrees, forks extended 75mm. the rest of the frame is fully braced.
Bodywork moved back 25mm and seat shortened 25mm. The bodywork itself is lighweight stuff and the carbon fiber is from Magical Racing in Japan.
All modern electricals thanks to The Stator Papers.
Lots more, just hard to remember everything at the moment.20190815_180716.jpgComment

Wow, that is spectacular.
I figured it was just a great resto mod (which it is), but the steering modifications and relocating of the bodywork are other level stuff.
Great work.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Fantastic, I love it! There's something special about Katanas... doesn't really matter what you do but as long as you keep that bodywork everyone knows it's a Kat...
What are the rearsets from and any chance of a photo under the seat? I'm curious how you took care of things under there.Comment

Rear sets are GSXR 600, on brackets I made after experimenting with peg position20190910_160502.jpgComment
